Management

Tactical Survey Group is led by seasoned management with proven experience managing technology companies, providing responsible corporate governance, and recruiting and retaining personnel to achieve client and company expectations. The Tactical Survey Group executive team includes:

John Iffland, Chief Executive Officer: John is Director of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). John is a retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier General where his final assignment was as the Homeland Security Advisor to the Director, Air National Guard. He possesses direct industry experience growing and managing technology and software companies. John possesses a BS from California State University Long Beach and a MA from Central Michigan University.

William “Bill” Green, Chief Operating Officer: Bill is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and interim Chief Financial Officer with overall responsibility for accomplishing company contracts, ensuring customer/employee satisfaction with overall company profit responsibility. Bill is a U.S. Navy veteran with over 20 years experience leading technology companies. Prior to Tactical Survey Group, Bill was the President and COO of High Technology Solutions, Inc. from its founding and through its sale.

Gene Garcia, Senior Vice President: Gene is the Senior Vice President and has responsibility for project execution and technology development. Gene is an early employee of Tactical Survey Group and has been instrumental in developing Tactical Survey Group’s technology, processes, and workforce. Gene is a former federal officer and possesses special response force training and field experience.

Mike Hillestad, Vice President of Business Development: Mike leads the marketing and new business development activities for the company. Having served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force and retiring at the rank of Colonel, Mike possesses extensive knowledge of the U.S. Department of Defense and other Government agencies, with his final Air Force assignments as the Chief of Staff, Air Directorate, National Guard Bureau, and Commander of the  Air National Guard Readiness Center at Andrews AFB.

Kelly Mundell, Vice President of Programs: Kelly is the Vice President of Programs, and has been with the Tactical Survey Program since 2003. As a veteran of the Tactical Survey Program, Kelly provides the overall program management and leadership to deliver the highest quality Tactical Survey System products on-time and within budget. Kelly attended California State University, San Marcos, CA.
